No, I haven't been torn apart by wild animals (although the cats get a little excited when I open tuna cans for them), kidnapped by a handsome stranger (no such luck here, sigh) or fallen off a cliff (although my poor dranei shaman died more times than I care to remember before she got the Going Down? achievement in World of Warcraft recently.). I am alive and well; I've just been in a terrible creative slump.

I hope to start writing again soon. I do have most of the next chapter of Suspire completed, so that is the next writing project on my agenda. I have been re-reading George R.R. Martin's A Song of Ice and Fire series lately, and it was handsome Rhaegar that finally snapped me out of the slump and got me moving. As much as I'd love to write some ASOIAF fanfic, I understand that Mr Martin has asked people not to play in his universe, and I will respect his wishes. I'll pout over it, to be sure, but I will keep any story ideas to my imagination only. /sulk

Also, I decided not to participate in NaNoWriMo this year. Between the lack of creativity and the WoW expansion pack coming out next week, it would have been a lost cause. There's always next year...
